Start by identifying the buyer. Obtain the registered company name and available identifiers, then compare them with the names on the purchase order and proposed contract.
Clarify the parties in the transaction. The buyer, receiving party and payer may be different. Ask for a clear explanation of each role and keep the agreed responsibilities in writing.
Build a practical information request. Ask who is authorised to negotiate, what delivery arrangements are proposed and which company will accept the invoice. A company report can provide context, but cannot establish every aspect of a proposed trade.
Company checks are only one part of preparation. Product rules, payment arrangements and any applicable trade restrictions need current, transaction-specific review with qualified advisers. This guide does not determine whether a particular export is permitted.
