Registration information helps identify a legal entity. Start with the full company name and identifiers, and compare them with the entity named in your proposed agreement.

Pay attention to dates. An entry or document describes information recorded at a particular time. Later changes may affect how you interpret it. Ask when information was obtained and whether later records are available.

Avoid drawing conclusions beyond the evidence. Registration does not by itself demonstrate trading activity, financial strength, product quality or reliable performance. Those questions require other evidence.

Resolve inconsistencies. If names, identifiers or signatory details differ between documents, seek clarification and document the explanation. Do not treat a translated or abbreviated name as a substitute for the original identifier.
